New Beginnings

"They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

Ok. So Bethany isn't getting us anywhere, and we're back at the beginning without a lead anywhere. We both contacted Bethany to find out where our home study was. We found out the Raleigh office was restaffed, and ready to go again, and also that they needed a couple more documents from us. We signed another contract with them, for a biracial adoption program.

Meanwhile, Krista continued browsing the Internet for information. Sometime during August, she found a sibling group of two brothers and a sister from Guatemala. They caught her eye, and we decided to get more information about them. Krista fell in love with them the more she thought about them, and learned more about their lives. David couldn't believe we were really considering adopting three kids at once. But we were! We had discovered the Ortiz children. It wouldn't be official for another month or so, but as soon as we knew they were still available, we knew there was no turning back.
