About Bible Study
from R. A. Torrey
- Daily study is most profitable
 - Study the Bible. Meditate, ponder, and dwell on the Scripture. This takes time and concentration.
 - You are studying the Word of God
 - His Word is valuable to you, something you're eager to study
 - Accept all that you find in His Word, without doubting
 - Rely on living by His Word
 - Obey His Word immediately.
 - Study as a conversation with God, reading His voice and praying with Him.
 - Look for Christ in everything
 - Use your spare moments throughout the day to continue study
 - Memorize His Word to carry it everywhere with you

- Study spiritually, this is a whole different world
 - Study consciously, as a hungry man looking for food
 - Study the Bible directly, not dependent on the aid of others' writings for assistance
 - Study the whole Bible, gaining a proper perspective of its parts
 - Study industriously, seeking value
 - De 17:19, Isa 34:16, John 5:39, Act 17:11, Rom 15:4
