About Bible Study

1. Daily study is most profitable
2. Study the Bible. Meditate, ponder, and dwell on the Scripture. This takes time and concentration.
3. You are studying the Word of God
• His Word is valuable to you, something you're eager to study
• Accept all that you find in His Word, without doubting
• Rely on living by His Word
• Obey His Word immediately.
• Study as a conversation with God, reading His voice and praying with Him.
• Look for Christ in everything
• Use your spare moments throughout the day to continue study
• Memorize His Word to carry it everywhere with you

1. Study spiritually, this is a whole different world
2. Study consciously, as a hungry man looking for food
3. Study the Bible directly, not dependent on the aid of others' writings for assistance
4. Study the whole Bible, gaining a proper perspective of its parts
5. Study industriously, seeking value

1. Pick a book, usually one in the NT to start with
2. Read the chapter several times, out loud at least once
3. Outline the chapter
4. Note the leading facts in the chapter
5. Note characters mentioned in the chapter
6. List the lessons of the chapter, particularly related to God
7. Determine the central truth of the chapter
8. Choose a key (or best) verse to memorize
9. Teachers: Note verses with potential for lessons or sermons
10. Name the chapter
11. Note subjects for further study
12. Note words & phrases for further study
13. Find a new truth in the chapter
14. Note what truth you've been reminded of from the chapter
15. Record what you resolve to do as a result of the chapter
