Building Project

A few reminders from 1Corinthians 3 of what really is real and important in life:

  1. Jealousy and strife are childish 1Cor 3:1-3
  2. God causes growth, all people can do is plant and water 1Cor 3:-8
  3. Christians are God's field, God's building 1Cor 3:9, God's temple 1Cor 3:16-17
  4. Our works are building a house that will be burned - what will last? 1Cor 3:10-15
  5. One can be wise in the world or wise in the Lord, but not both 1Cor 3:18-20
  6. Christians belong to Jesus Christ 1Cor 3:23
As Christians, our lives are not ours to live - we are owned by another, by Jesus. He expects certain things from us, and will appropriatly reward obedience and punish disobedience. Our salvation is assured, regardless 1Cor 3:15, but the extent to which we please Him is a matter of daily living. Brick by brick, day by day, the substance of our spiritual lives piles up. Days cannot be redone, work cannot be torn down and replaced, time cannot be turned back.

So, live in peace with one another, living according to the principles given in Scripture, growing in the wisdom of God, and end up with something that actually matters for eternity.
