A growth plan for Christians, starting from 2Peter 1:5-11:

1. Faith
2. Diligence
   • Diligently pursue His calling 1Pe 1:10
   • Diligently establish a peaceful, spotless, blameless character 2Pe 3:14
   • Diligently grow 2Pe 3:18
   • Diligently keep God's laws Ps 119:4; Zech 6:15
   • Diligently watch over your heart Pr 4:23
   • Diligently listen to God Is 55:2
   • Diligently work for eternal rewards John 6:27
   • Diligently work out your salvation Php 2:12
3. Moral Excellence / Virtue
   • Think on virtous/excellent things Php 4:8
   • Gain a proper appreciation of God's goodness to us 1Pe 2:9; 2Pe 1:3
     
4. Knowledge
   • Know God 2Pe 1:2
   • Know Jesus Christ 2Pe 3:18
   • Mature in your thinking 1Cor 14:20
   • Know the hope and riches of your calling Eph 1:18
   • Know the will of God Eph 5:17; Col 1:9}
   • Make your knowledge real, with discerment Php 1:9
5. Self-control / Temperance
   • (Not a popular topic with people Act 24:25)
   • Required to attain physical superiority 1Cor 9:25
   • Fruit of the Spirit Gal 5:23
     
6. Perseverance / Patience
   • Wait on the Lord Ps 37:7
   • Bearing fruit takes perseverance and time Luk 8:15
   • Keep at doing good, and get rewarded for it Rom 2:7
   • Gained through tribulations Rom 5:3; Jam 1:3-4
   • The means by which we wait toward our unseen goal Rom 8:25
   • Possible through the mighty power of God Col 1:11
   • Christ's steadfastness is our example 2Th 3:5
   • Persevere for the race Heb 12:1
   • Patiently wait for the coming of the Lord Jam 5:7
   • As the saints who steadfastly kept God's commandments: Rev 14:12
     
7. Godliness
   • God wants us to be like Him, because He's given us instructions on how to do it 2Pe 1:3
   • Godliness lasts. This whole world doesn't. 2Pe 3:11
   • Like Enoch Gen 5:24
   • A good way of life supported by our governments 1Tim 2:2; Gal 5:24
   • Profitable for all things, in this life and the next! 1Tim 4:7,8
   • A good test of the quality of a person 1Tim 6:3
   • Teams with contentment to provide a very fruitful life 1Tim 6:6
   • Don't get tricked by fake godliness 2Tim 3:5
     
8. Brotherly kindness
   • Love one another John 13:34,35
   • Give preference to each other Rom 12:10
   • Must grow and abound 1Th 3:12
   • Is a continual process Heb 13:1
   • Fervently! 1Pe 1:22
   • A hallmark characteristic of a Christian is the ability to do this 1John 3:14
     
9. Love / Charity
   • Gives all meaning to life 1Cor 13:1-8
   • Especially love other Christians Gal 6:10
   • Creates unity Col 3:14
   • The proper response to ill treatment 1Th 5:15
