Jesus' first coming was dedicated toward saving His people, not ruling them. I doing so, He fulfilled many prophecies concerning His character through all of it:
- He was mocked and insulted Ps 22.6-8
 - He was betrayed by a friend Ps 41.9
 - He was hated for no reason Ps 69.4
 - He suffered unsatified thirst Ps 69.21
 - He suffered the embarrassment of public nakedness Ps 22.18
 - He gave Himself up for physical abuse Is 50.6
 - He was beat to an unrecognizable pulp Is 52.14
 - He suffered rejection from His own people Is 53.3
 - He faced the actual wrath of God, His own Father Is 53.4
 - He took the crushing payment for our sins Is 53.5,6
 - He uncomplainingly died without a word in His defense Is 53.7,8
 - He gave Himself as a guilt offering to the Lord who could accept nothing less perfect Is 53.10
 - He was treated as a criminal IS 53.12
 - He was left with nothing Dan 9.26
 - He was sold as a slave for a mere 30 silver shekels Zec 11.2
 - He was pierced Zec 12.7
