We're adopting again! You'll probably want to read a little about why we are adopting again; this time we're pursuing an adoption from Russia, and we need your help. God has been gracious in providing for our previous adoptions, and this time He's having us step out in faith on funds we don't yet have! Here are some ideas of how you can help:

Why?

We have adopted six children so far out of a deep belief that children need a good, godly family to grow up with - and that we can provide that by the grace of God. We love our children very much, but also believe we have room in our hearts and home for more.

God not only shows a particular interest in looking out for orphans Himself,

• "It is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish." Matthew 18:14
• "You have been the helper of the orphan." Psalm 10:14
• "A father of the fatherless" Ps 68:5
• "Supports the fatherless and the widow" Ps 146:9
• "He executes justice for the orphan and the widow" De 10:18
• "In You the orphan finds mercy" Ho 14:3

But commands us to do the same:

• "To the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me." Matthew 25:35-40
  
• "Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." James 1:27
• "Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16
• "whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me." Matthew 18:5
• "Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body" Hebrews 13:3
• "Open your mouth for the mute, For the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, And defend the rights of the afflicted and needy." Proverbs 31:8,9
• "He pled the cause of the afflicted and needy; Then it was well. Is not that what it means to know Me?." Jeremiah 22:16
• "Defend the orphan" Is 1:17
