Photo library fun

I recently built a new widget for our family website that randomly shows photos taken on this calendar day, any year. Not complicated, but a lot of fun to see!
For instance, this image shows up today:
- Clicking the header, or the link for "On this day, any year" will list all photos ever taken on December 27th.
- Clicking "four years ago" will show me all the photos taken on December 27th, 2004
- Clicking the photo itself will bring me to just that photo, where I can further explore:
- "Related" shows me everything in that folder, which would be a broad category like "People" and that particular month
- Clicking the date/time of the image will show me all photos taken on that particular date
- Clicking the photographer will find all images attributed to that person
- Clicking the location will show me all photos taken at that same place
O the fun that databases, web links, and photos can be! Otherwise, poking through folders full of almost 25,000 pictures would just be plain hard work.
And, amazingly enough we actually have photos on every single calendar day of the year! One solitary image holds its own on February 29th.
